Play a Round for the Kids Golf Tournament Raises Close to 60K for Kids in Need.

It was a beautiful day on the course at Black Bear Ridge where 144 golfers came together to play in the 18th annual Play a Round for the Kids golf tournament. This years tournament, presented by Strong Bros raised close to $60,000 in support of programming for underprivileged children in the region.

“What a incredible day!”, says Melanie Cressman, Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation. “This tournament is a signature event for The Children’s Foundation where money raised will give underprivileged and at-risk youth the opportunity to enroll in activities that will help them learn, play and grow. Whether it be joining a sports team, learning music or attending camp, the experiences that can happen as a result of the success of this tournament will be life changing for many. On behalf of the children and youth of The Children’s Foundation thank you to everyone who sponsored, played or volunteered at this years event.”
