On October 20, 2013, over 50 riders joined us at the Batawa Ski Hill for our Kanter for Kids ride.
October is Child Abuse Prevention Month and one of the most visible pieces to represent this campaign is the purple ribbon. Purple is the signature colour of child abuse prevention. It shouldn’t hurt to be a child! We asked all our riders and horses to wear purple (we had purple ribbon for horses)!
The day was a lot of fun and we couldn’t have asked for better weather for a ride thru the beautiful trails of Batawa.
Quinte Children’s Foundation would like to thank all of our generous sponsors and enthusiastic riders for helping to make the day so great! We raised over $5000 and all the proceeds will help high-risk children and youth in our communities. This would not have been possible without you.
To QCF staff and all of our amazing Volunteers, thank you!
We hope you can join us again next year!!
