Note to our donors, supporters, volunteers and friends
Our work helping local children, youth and families in need will never stop
As we write this most of you are at home trying to handle the changes of the COVID-19 Virus Pandemic, as are our staff.
We understand that the current crisis has had a major impact on your lives. It undoubtedly has had an impact on the children and families we serve.
This is a new challenge for Highland Shores Children’s Aid & The Children’s Foundation but our commitment to keeping children & youth safe is still the same. We are proud to be a part of & serve this community. Every day we try to help make a difference.
With Ontario in a State of Emergency we have had to make changes.
- Highland Shores Children’s Aid in Belleville, Picton, Cobourg & Bancroft are open but allowing only essential visitors. To access these sites, please call ahead. Anyone entering the building will be screened and then a decision will be made regarding admission.
- The Children’s Foundation office is closed but staff are still working from home and available by email and phone. Check out www.thechildrensfoundation.ca for contact information.
We will continue to update you on our plans for special events and programs.
- McHappy Day has been postponed.
- Applications for Playing for Keeps and Camps of Hope remain the same.
We’re all in this together, even if we have to do it apart. Thank you for all the support you give The Children’s Foundation and the families we serve.
