During the 2013/2014 Hockey season the Belleville Bulls scored a total of 206 goals! That means $8,240.00 have been received in donations from generous sponsors through our Cheering for Children Goal Program.
One of the programs Quinte Children’s Foundation funds is Playing for Keeps. When Children participate in recreational or cultural activities, they are not only learning a specific ability; they are developing positive interactive social skills that will last a lifetime. Learning to swim, making the hockey or soccer team for the first time should be the highlight of every childhood. The funds raised during 2013/2014 benefited over 400 children in our community.
Our most sincere thanks to our sponsors for their investment and their commitment to the children and youth in our community!

On Saturday March 1, 2014 over 300 people gathered at Sears Atrium to honour Peter Smith for his extraordinary commitment to the children in our community. The Guardian Angel Gala was an elegant evening with a fabulous menu, fine wines, live entertainment, and incredible auction items for all guests.
Peter Smith was extremely grateful for this recognition and was happy so many of his friends and family were able to join him. Peter shared his experiences as a past Board Member and Chairman and seeing first-hand the difference Quinte Children’s Foundation programs are making in the lives of children and youth in our community!!
We are ecstatic to announce the event helped us raise over $100,000. Thanks to the generosity of all those who participated, Quinte Children’s Foundation will be able to help many local children and youth register for their favourite sport or cultural activity as well as fund student bursaries.
We would like to thank our Gala Chair, Aleesha Camp, the Guardian Angel Committee and volunteers for organizing such an amazing evening. As well, we would like to offer our most sincere thanks to all the wonderful sponsors and donors for their contributions.
It was a pleasure being able to pay tribute to a very special man, Peter Smith, and raising money to improve the quality of life for children and youth in our community made it even more special.
